3. Purpose and Non-Profit Status
The Ruzicka Foundation is established for non-profit and public benefit purposes. The Foundation supports vulnerable children, strengthens local communities and helps protect endangered African wildlife and natural habitats through focused, transparent and sustainable projects.
The income and property of The Ruzicka Foundation are applied solely towards its objectives and are not distributed to members, directors, trustees or office bearers, except as reasonable compensation for services actually rendered to the Foundation.
4. Public Benefit / Tax Status
SARS Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) Number:
930087313
Section 18A approval:
9241269274
Important:
The Foundation may issue Section 18A tax-deductible receipts only if and to the extent that it has received formal approval from SARS to do so. Donors outside South Africa should obtain their own tax advice regarding deductibility in their country of residence.
If Section 18A approval has not yet been granted, use this wording instead:
The Ruzicka Foundation is not currently approved to issue Section 18A tax-deductible receipts. Donations are therefore not represented as tax-deductible unless and until formal Section 18A approval has been confirmed by SARS.
5. Donations and Use of Funds
Donations made to The Ruzicka Foundation are voluntary contributions used to support the Foundation’s charitable and public benefit objectives.
Unless a donation is expressly accepted in writing for a specific restricted project, donations may be allocated at the discretion of the Foundation to the area of greatest need within its stated objectives, including child welfare, education, healthcare, community support, wildlife conservation, habitat protection, conservation education and related project costs.
The Foundation aims to apply donor funds responsibly, transparently and in line with its approved objectives, founding documents and applicable South African law.
6. Donation Methods and Online Payments
Donations may be made through:
SnapScan / PayFast / bank transfer / ActiveDonor-linked process
The available donation methods, payment instructions and any applicable transaction process are shown on the Donate page.
Online payments may be processed by independent third-party payment service providers. The Foundation does not store full card details on this website. Payment security, authentication and processing are handled by the relevant payment provider according to its own security standards and terms.
7. Donation Receipts
Donation confirmations or receipts may be issued by email using the donor information provided during the donation process.
Where the Foundation is approved to issue Section 18A receipts, donors may be required to provide information prescribed by SARS, including full name, identification or registration details, tax reference number, contact details, donation amount and the nature of the donation.
8. Refunds and Donation Errors
Because donations are voluntary gifts made in support of the Foundation’s objectives, donations are generally non-refundable.
However, the Foundation may consider a refund where a donation was made in error, duplicated, unauthorised, or where a refund is required by law.
Refund requests should be submitted in writing to:
info@theruzickafoundation.com
Please include:
- donor name;
- donation date;
- donation amount;
- payment reference;
- reason for the refund request.
Refund requests should be made as soon as possible and preferably within 14 days of the donation.
